This specific board was developed from restrictions in a block of foam that then proved to be an absolute success in the foil. The initial 5'9 proto types had a complete bottom to deck (foil) of 100 ML at a thickness of 2. 3/8. The prototypes were ridden from the likes of Noah Stocca, Louis Hynd & Oscar Berry ( Junior WSL Surfer/ Free surfer) Featuring in the Surfing Life Board test, Front cover grabs and article highlights, all due to the success of the design. Developed initially for the Team guys to ride in contests where 5 fast hits to the beach is what you need and this is the aspects of it. Flat entry under chest into front foot area and flat bottom contour to allow fast acceleration in gutless waves with flow through gutless parts without loosing speed. Wider 12 inch mark in the nose by 1/8 to allow a pendulum effect when releasing the tail (blowing the tail)and keeping control.Also this allows rotations in aerial manoeuvres to be smooth with control in turbulent landings.Mellow double concave to enhance speed carry and late flip to allow release. Perfect combo in RS and SW tails. Fin placements are set further back, making a reduced fin cluster to eleviate long rail issues and to create tighter pivoting. From fin placements to outline we have produced a fast stable easy turning high performance board that has been proven and tested by the best Groms on the coast of Australia in all conditions. Bottom contour is similar to the Durbo with a subtle single into double concave, to allow speed generation through turns and full tail rocker increasing pivot and ease of breaking the rail off turns for these micro Groms in the weight range of 25kgs to 50kgs.

Durbo Built for the highest level riders of Mt Woodgee ,bring forward to 2020-21 scrutinized and re developed by bringing in Tim Macdonald -Coach with the Australian Team/ former QS surfer, and Bede Durbidge, WSL World tour surfer /Triple Crown Winner Aus team Manager and Pipe Master to take the Design to the next level.
Bottom contour is a medium single concave 1/8 inch depth entering a 1/4 inch deep double concave right under the back foot then releasing out through the tail with a flat exit and late flip of the tail ,allowing full control over power driven turns and fast twitch tail releases. The rocker is flat under chest of deck to allow foam under chest so length can be kept shorter (relevant to ability) to allow the outline curve to fit tight into critical parts of the wave without catching or loosing flow on rail.
Also on the outline we have straightened the rail curve from 15 inches up to create a slight hip allowing a break point out of long railed maneuvers. the deck is rolled down to enhance rail to rail capability and to increase that "fast Twitch" feeling in transition. This board is built for performance in mind but is versatile enough that you don’t have to be a World tour surfer to feel the Ferrari under your feet and not be able to control the board.
Construction differences Poplar timber used for stringer, The Poplar tree is a fast long fiber hardwood growing tree, this allows a high tensile Torque component to the boards core thus giving a snappier flex pattern under load mostly felt in bottom turns where the board is flexing under load then releasing once weight is shifted allowing the surfer to feel a spring loaded reaction into the next motion.

The Long TWIIN, Developed with our long time team rider Guy Ormerod, A former pro surfer and Qld/Aussie champ This iconic Aussie has earned the respect as one of the most gifted surfers in and out of the water Australia has ever known. Guy has been a long time surfer at Burleigh heads where the point is renowned for late take offs and the ability to hold serious size, as for two crucial factors to consider- Paddle power and speed down the line. The Long Twin ticks those boxes with wide point shifted further forward allowing more foam up under the chest plate increasing paddle power and entry speed. As for the length its now your friend for projection down the line and allowing the board to make sections you normally wouldn't. The design also has the rail section pull in straighter towards tail improving hold and control in more sizable surf to increase that highline style of surfing. Part of the release factors of the Long Twin is the rolled Vee allowing rail to rail transitions to be controlled and with a feeling of ease considering the length of board.

The ONE, Beginner / Intermediate level surfer or small wave fun for the die hard weekend warrior. Taken off Nick Anagnostou's late 1978 single fin where foam is kept forward under the chest area for paddle power thus the beak, flat deck to increase stability and shaped as a rounded square or round tail to allow versatility in all aspects of conditions in 1 to 3 ft waves. We have incorporated the same bottom as what was traditional in the 80's- rolled Vee in nose entry to reduce catching on late take offs. flat under front foot to increase forgiveness away front the pocket and finishing it off with a Vee through the fin cluster Pod area to allow control and flow from rail to rail turns allowing the surfer to develop a smooth effortless styled approach to surfing. The perfect transitional board before attacking the high performance designs. The One Also comes in 5'4 up to 6'0 with a softer fuller nose area for safety as this style is perfect for a super groms first hard fibreglass board without having the parents daunting stress levels of pointed short boards causing injury and becoming an off putting factor in surfing.

These boards are the prime example to completely throw the argument of litres into the non applicable category due to a thing we call "foam distribution" distribution is about keeping the foam in the most critical part of the board but in 3 simple ways the Twin fin does it all. Firstly Dropping deck rocker allowing foam to be displaced more evenly along the stringer line around the entry through to midway part of the board, Thus as to why we have a "beak on the nose" to stop the aesthetically UN appeasing S DECK becoming pronounced leaving a inverted curve. Next is reducing the deck roll either side of the stringer out to 4-5 inches creating a flatter deck once again increasing an extra lap of foam along the deck and finally,
Width and wide points, Wide point is 1 inch forward of half way allowing foam distribution to carry forward allowing the board to be ridden shorter (level of surfing applicable) Finally carrying the curve fuller towards nose also allows stability and flow through fatter parts of the wave, hens why Twin Fins in this design are so forgiving.
